A native to Orange County, Kaila Predney graduated in 2012 from Calvary Chapel High School, where she was a dual-sport varsity athlete for both soccer and volleyball all four years. Her senior year, she was honored as Female Athlete of the Year. She later attended Concordia University Irvine, where she graduated with over a 3.5 GPA, earning her B.A. degree in Psychology with a minor in Sociology. She competed in Concordia’s Division I Beach Volleyball program for three years and served as the team captain. Ames furthered her beach volleyball career after college, professionally representing P1440 and competing in the AVP Tour and CBVA Opens. She worked at Crean Lutheran High School between 2015-2019 as the Director of Beach Volleyball and the assistant coach for former USA Volleyball Olympian, Alisha Glass, for Girls Varsity Indoor Volleyball. She also led the team to the final four in CIF and second round in State finals in 2017. Ames has recently received her M.A. in Counseling Psychology at Concordia University.
Fun Facts about Coach Kaila: I’m a newlywed! Just married Coach Jon Predney fall 2020! My favorite hobby is country line dancing. I have an Australian German Shepherd Mix, his name is Cooper. I love the beach.
